Designed for a charming couple and their dog, this budget-friendly project aimed to enhance their rented flat. Using Ikea furniture in a creative way, we optimized space, prioritizing functionality. The color scheme featured green, beige, white, oak, walnut, with black and gold accents. We retained certain elements, like a lovely floral wallpaper and existing furniture.
In the kitchen, we improved storage with added cupboards, shelves, and lamps, blending black fronts with classic green tiles. The bedroom underwent a layout change for better accessibility, featuring a cozy sleeping alcove with clever storage solutions. A central paper lamp added charm.
The narrow hallway gained storage with efficient Billy shelving, a drawer bench, and a hanging coat rack. Elegant black lamps added a touch of sophistication.
The living room served as a dual-purpose space for work and relaxation, divided into three zones. Green tones created an urban jungle vibe, and strategic placement of the desk and dining table maximized daylight. Personalized niches and a dog bed under the desk allowed the owner to keep an eye on her furry friend and easily take unseen breaks for a quick pet while working.
